The SimHebrew Bible: The Hebrew Bible in Simulated Hebrew – with English Guide
The SimHebrew Bible is the first of its kind: a version of the Hebrew Bible that makes the Hebrew text accessible to non-Hebrew readers, by providing it in SimHebrew (simulated Hebrew in standard Roman characters). By emulating the original Hebrew characters on a one-to-one basis, the SimHebrew rendition reveals the language's distinctive morphology of words (their consonantal root, prefixes and suffixes) and sentence syntax without the need to master the Hebrew alphabet. An English translation is provided in a second column, for the sake of comprehension.
An introduction to SimHebrew, to the translation, and a Primer for pronunciation gives the reader the tools to make sense of the Hebrew text.
A hyperlinked table of contents, links to all chapters at the start of each book, and links to preceding and following chapters at the start of each chapter, provide for easy navigation.
Hebrew or English text can be searched in standard English characters within the ebook appliction.
A glossary of all English lemmas, and their corresponding Hebrew roots, is also provided, as well as links by Hebrew root to a full online concordance (including vowel patterns).
